My role involves identifying distinctive opportunities to apply my expertise throughout the diverse landscape of the movie production lifecycle. This encompassed a range of skills, including budgeting, accounting, payroll management, the implementation of stringent COVID protocols, tax credit incentives and the effective management of daily challenges inherent to being a film producer.

During my time as a consultant at Disney, my roles primarily centered around product management and solutions architecture. However, I also took on diverse responsibilities, including leading change management initiatives, overseeing proof-of-concept operations, and managing both onshore and offshore engineering teams. Below, I'll outline key responsibilities and highlight significant proof-of-concept projects I've contributed to at Disney, many of which continue to be integral to Disney's operations.One significant achievement involved developing automated packaging and delivery tools tailored for global retailers like Netflix, Google, Microsoft, and iTunes. These tools aligned with industry standards for electronic sell-through, video-on-demand (VOD), and subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services. The core elements of these capabilities played a vital role in shaping Disney's interconnected delivery systems. This ecosystem encompasses EIDR registration, asset research, and automation, all pivotal for the successful launches of MovieAnywhere and Disney+.Additionally, our workflow engine transformed Disney's theatrical pipeline by curating assets to make it possible to generate digital cinema packages in the cloud. It processed build plans from a top-down approach, recognized assets based on rules which validated from the bottom-up, and triggered cloud-based automated mastering which greatly enhanced scalability and efficiency. This led to significant developments of dashboards and APIs for operational tracking and data extraction for use by other teams.Moreover, the data model led to creating a unique POC platform requiring the need for defining new taxonomies and schemas for classifying temporal metadata at the scene level for entire titles across Disney's brands. This POC also involved generating secure playback proxies, ensuring reliable tagging and data capture while safeguarding Disney's intellectual property.
