I am a graduate at the University of Arkansas as of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in the field of Computer Science. My ability to learn quickly has allowed me to excel in my programming courses and retain information regarding programming easily. Current known languages with the ability to learn anyC++, C, Java, Javascript, Android, pythonMy passion for programming began in high school when I got involved with VEX robotics. This then allowed me to get involved in FRC Robotics, team 3612, as the head programmer. Both robotics teams used a c based language to control the robots. Through robotics, I was given a large amount of real-world experience and a foot in the door in the world of programming.My first job was a position at O'Reilly Auto Parts. This job allowed me to learn a large amount of customer service and teamwork experience. I quickly gained respect from my coworkers and was given many responsibilities at my store such as opening the vault and locking down the store which taught me good leadership skills. While at O'Reilly's, I developed a device that would alert the cashiers that there was a ticket being printed. This device was an Arduino Nano with a sonar sensor and a piezo buzzer. This device got the attention of the Vice President of store design at O'Reilly's and allowed me to work with him on work-related projects.My college career has allowed me to learn many skills and create many projects such as Java, Android, and Javascript-based Mario games, C++ text-based space simulators, and a cashier application on the Android platform that communicated with a SQL database through Javascript commands. My Position at American Estates was a deal struck between the owner, whom I know personally, and me, to help me get through the rest of my college career without having a very rough 40 hour a week job. Through this position I was able to develop for his company, from the ground up, a custom plasma cutting CNC machine. This machine was built out of 2-inch material to create a steel 10'x5' table. After this, I created a sliding gantry system to house the plasma cutter. This plasma cutter has three-axis to allow for maximum precision control. This device is controlled through an Arduino Mega (2560) and four TB6600 stepper motor drivers. This plasma cutter is controlled by the Arduino to create precise and accurate cuts for the company.
