I left my corporate relaibility engineering position to take over ownership of the family business. I represented the 5th generation of Dexter men that have made a living by farming. I came back to the family farm to prove that management science, engineering, and continuous improvement had a place in the farming community. I was co-owner and operater of a 1400 acre corn and soybean operation. While farming, I started performing consulting work on the side. I soon learned that consulting is my true calling and decided to make to transition to running my reliability consulting business full time.

My primary responsibility was to lead the site Maintenance Improvement Team. The maintenance improvement team was composed of Maintenance Mangers, Reliability Engineers, Reliability Coordinators, Craft Leads, and Diagnostic Technician Leads. I organized and taught weekly technical training for this team. I led the site Mechanical Defect Elimination Program and was a member of the Operations Leadership Team. I directed work load for and mentored two Reliability Engineers. I was responsible for the site failure analysis efforts most specifically with metallurgical and materials related problems and directed contract employees implementing the Mechanical Integrity function within the Process Safety Management Program. I also led the planning efforts for the annual site maintenance outage + Kaizen Facilitator + RCA Facilitator + RCM Blitz Facilitator + Helped implement the Reliability Excellence Program + Organized and led the site Asset Criticality analysis
