    Since becoming a Director, I made a big push for the company to have a business plan, company values and a clear and transparent progression plan for all staff (something which we never had before). I lead the company discussions around the values, which we decided as an organisation with every employee involved, and then rolled this out to the business. I wrote the business plan from scratch and then after several reviews implemented this. I arranged for personal progression plans to be created with quarterly meetings around finding out from our teams what they want from the organisation. I also made a basic organisational chart for the business. I am currently in the process of breaking down all of our internal systems and processes and building them back up again with the input of our staff. This includes everything from the dealings with candidates through to sales and marketing as well as redesigning our internal database and CRM tools. Since I introduced the more collaborative, employee focused management style we have changed the profitability of the business positively and staff retention has shot up. Although still at early stages of Senior Leadership, I have made great strides in this area largely down to proactively reading and learning more in my spare time. I have looked at how Servant Leadership, Leading from the Front and Agile methodologies can be implemented in my domain and read books on this subject, as well as attended seminars and webinars. I am looking to complete the REC Leadership qualification in the next 12 months.
