As Team Leader, designed and implemented an MVC solution for a legacy DB2 Phalanx Weapon Inventory Part System. This standalone application was designed and implemented with a Swing front end and simple command/controller to process UI requests. The back-end employed DB2 extensions to allow for the preservation of the legacy hierarchical schema (which was a key design decision leading to this project's success). The solution was implemented using Java 1.4. Agile Scrum methodology. Received training as Scrum Master.

Performed all software life-cycle management tasks to maintain and develop McKesson Proposal Writer web application composed of Java, JSTL and DHTML code, using Rational Application Developer, IBM Websphere, Axis web services and Oracle. Contributed to roll out of key features to satisfy delivery objectives ultimately producing a product which reduced client's sales cycle with Avnet from several days to minutes. This new software allowed the client, a company with annual revenues of more than $50 billion, to restructure its health-care software business, reduce resources and increase output by compressing their entire sales cycle from 3 weeks to 1 week. It also was 1 of the 2 key business projects that boosted Avnet's ranking to 68 in the InformationWeek 500. Reviewed requirements documentation with business analysts and wrote design documentation using UML techniques.Designed and implemented new administration web pages and wizard web page changes for Kit integration, re-factored 3 model adapters, created XML proposal output engine using Castor, wrote Java DAOs to interface with the data model for new domain objects and concepts. Enterprise Application for Military Personnel to Manage and Process Insurance ClaimsDesigned and developed an insurance application form writing sub-system in compliance to HIPAA electronic standards. Designed and developed DB2 scratchpad utility to interface with CTG CICS transaction system. Supported unit level test efforts and deployment to OS/390 platform. Authored UML design documents for two major sub-systems. Technical design presentations to outside consultants for critique and analysis of use case scenarios and code level sequence diagrams.

Enterprise Application to Evaluate High School Curriculum Designed and developed Entity View Graphs (complex object graphs) for the persistence system of the project. Implemented the graphs by first creating entity maps using the CocoBase O/R Mapping tool and then developed EJB (Entity beans as well as State-less Session Beans) in the Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) environment. Designed a Java interface for the presentation and persistence layers i.e., BEA Weblogic pipeline components for the presentation layer to stateless session beans for the middle tier. Java Telecom Web-Based Switch Monitors:Designed and developed Java applets and applications to configure and manage Excel telecom switches, this was 3 t-tier platform using RMI and Java threads. Developed SNMP (Advent API), a mini-proxy agent to manage telecom switch alarms. Implemented extensions for an in-house JSP telecom switch application. Implemented Oracle Forms and Reports to track least cost routing algorithm. Implemented a Java user interface to an Oracle Data Loader for handling text files. Responsible for configuration management and releases using PVCS.
