Max Fun is led and inspired by our local Community Hero and entrepreneur, Tseegii, she passionately explains ”offering good quality English and life skill courses to children in our community and in other parts of the world is my dream”. There are a variety of local secondary schools offering English classes as part of the curriculum. However, the schools use traditional learning methods with a focus on grammar and writing. There is a need for quality English lessons offered by Max Fun Learning Center. English is seen as a stepping stone to a better future and employment opportunities. Thanks to this learning space providing lessons using modern techniques, we anticipate this will enhance life skills and opportunities beyond what can be achieved in local schools. Over time, as Max Fun transitions to student-centered teaching methods, this will expose students to developing 21st century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and creativity.As a self-sustainable LC, Max Fun will be operated by local people for the local community. Our long term goal for the centre is to have a lasting impact on the lives of the BK community through environmental and social initiatives
