Joseph Gamble is a photographer, photo and video educator based in the Rocky Mountains of Central Colorado. A professor in the Isaacson School at Colorado Mountain College, his work has appeared in a variety of commercial, editorial and fine art contexts. He holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art Design, a BA in English Literature from Trinity College and is a graduate of the Eddie Adams Photography Workshop. He received the SCAD Alumni Atelier artist residency and lived in Lacoste, France for the summer of 2016. From 2011 to 2014, he was an instructor in photography at the University of Tampa in Florida and was a recipient of the 2013 Hillsborough County Artist Grant during this tenure. He has been awarded Telly and Webby awards for campaigns that featured his still photography. He has been a photographer on National Geographic and National Science Foundation grant-funded research expeditions in Central America. A recent film he produced with his students "Rocky Mountain Hive" aired on Rocky Mountain PBS in the Spring of 2019. His recent filmmaking work was second camera/still photographer on "Waniyetu Wowapi - Winter Count," a film about the Cheyenne River Youth Project on the Lakota reservation in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. It won the Social Activism Award at the Latino and Native American Film Festival 2022, a Gold Award in the Spotlight Documentary Awards 2022, the Susan A.K.
