I am part of an algorithm development team for one of NASA's satellite-based earth observation instruments. This job has focused on researching ways to improve radiance to flux retrievals over snow and ice scenes, but has branched out to include other aspects of dataset validation and production. I work with a large database of measurements, analyzing data and looking for relationships between variables that could be used to create more accurate models. The role requires applying analytical skills, along with my knowledge of physics, to gain an understanding of underlying relationships between variables. I have developed extensive skills in statistical analysis and visualization of large datasets, and I am proficient in several programming languages. I am pleased to be a part of an organization where creativity in problem solving is encouraged and colleagues provided stimulating discussion.

I designed and implemented market research surveys for a wide variety of companies, including telecommunications, manufacturing, government and electronics. My role was to liaise with clients while designing the survey to ensure that we were capturing the required information. I would then launch the surveys and monitor their progress. After the data had been collected my role was to analyze and interpret the results and write reports for clients. I would then meet with the clients to discuss the results and provide recommendations based on the research. The role involved a large amount of data analysis, report writing, research design and interaction with clients.
