Founded in 1973 by Gary Hardwick, the abattoir has grown to be one of the Macedon Ranges largest employers and is a current large exporter of Kosher and Halal meat. My time at the abattoir included: - Full-time Slaughterman on the mutton floor during all available school and university holidays in Kyneton, Australia. - My time comprised of two periods of full-time work, 7 months for a self-funded gap year in 2015 and another 4 month period in 2019, with double shifts on the beef floor when it was needed by management.
