Area Manager for the Medair field office in the Bekaa Valley, responsible for all programme activities, including emergency response, and member of the country SMT. Achievements include:1. Managed a portfolio of approx. $7 million with team of 80+ people2. Expanded the Medair programme into hard-to-reach and insecure areas3. Engaged with various external stakeholders, including security forces, ministries, municipality leaders, host communities, beneficiaries, and donors4. Coordinated directly with UNHCR through two funding cycles, leading on project design and delivery as Shelter Implementing Partner in the Bekaa5. Regularly mobilised and coordinated the Medair Emergency Response Team (ERT) in response to floods, fires, and tent collapse in informal settlements, and oversaw the emergency rehabilitation of sites 6. Advised on project proposals, developed budgets, and engaged with donors and coordination groups to understand and shape priorities in the Bekaa

Area Manager for the Medair field office in Kirkuk Governorate, responsible for security management, all programme activities and emergency response, and member of the country SMT. Achievements include:1. Fostered positive working relationships with humanitarian agencies, security forces, local authorities and government ministries, including the Ministry of Health under a mobile primary healthcare (PHC) programme2. Conducted rapid and in-depth security assessments, including context analyses, actor mapping and complex risk assessments3. Expanded the Medair PHC programme into hard-to-reach areas, negotiating humanitarian access with key stakeholders4. Contributed to the design and roll out of the Medair Security Management Plan and oversaw the installation of security measures in the Kirkuk base 5. Overall office management of 50+ diverse team members, national and international staff

Short term emergency contract for the Medair Ebola response, leading to longer-term engagement in the Ebola recovery phase and subsequent closure of the mission. Achievements include:1. Oversaw all logistics functions of the programme, including procurement, transport, warehousing, fleet, facilities and assets 2. Recruited, trained and managed team of 23 national staff members3. Led the procurement planning process for Health and WASH projects, and managed all imports and customs clearance for medicines and other supplies4. Coordinated the closure of the Medair office, guest houses, warehouse, and donation of all stock and assets, including medical supplies and 13 vehicles

Responsible for all logistics functions of the country mission, covering Kabul, the Central Highlands, and southern Afghanistan. Achievements include:1. Conducted extensive security work on the Kabul base, including steel gates, barbed-wire, reinforced safe rooms, internal steel doors, CCTV system and alarm systems for fire / earthquake and compound attack 2. Set up two field bases in the Central Highlands3. Set up staff and vehicle tracking centre in the Kabul base, including radio and satellite communications, and vehicle GPS tracking 4. Rapid base closure and relocation to UAE during Afghanistan elections in 20145. Rapid secondment to the Philippines in November 2013, in response to Typhoon Yolanda under the Medair Global ERT.
