As a change-oriented student with an emphasis on healthcare and charitable efforts, I learned about my role as a leader through service to others. With my experience in the geriatric clinical setting and learning from physicians and researchers, I am driven to pursue neuroscience and psychobiology as an undergraduate. I have worked with nursing assistants to provide an equitable care facility experience, understanding the challenges of geriatric neurological diseases and the need for individualized dignity. As an alumnus of Stanford’s Clinical Skills Internship and the Neuroscience Journal Club, I have gained knowledge in taking patient histories and differential diagnoses, clinical case problem-solving, analyzing medical research papers, and speaking with physicians of various specialties. I am eagerly looking forward to exploring more opportunities in healthcare and research as an undergraduate student!Through co-founding the charitable organization “Be His Helper,” I can take my leadership skills internationally, supporting the Southeast Vietnamese youth through fundraising in the Bay Area. As I maintain our website and plan for fundraisers and dinner banquets, I am excited to continue supporting our mission to provide educational scholarships, living facilities, medical centers, and community support.I would love to connect!
