As a Grand Valley State University graduate, I currently work as an exercise physiologist. For the past 7 years I have worked in healthcare directly with patients or clients as a Physical Therapy Tech, Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist. While working as a physical therapy technician, I assisted in front desk tasks, insurance verification, and worked directly with patients. As a personal trainer, I taught group exercise classes in an upbeat/positive environment. As an Exercise Physiologist, I work in a high stress environment making sure the patients are well taken care of, safe, and that testing is completed to the cardiologists standards. Not only do these jobs require communication and teamwork, they also require lots of critical thinking and active prioritization in order to provide excellent patient care. I have a strong work ethic, am a quick learner and posses a desire to learn new skills. I have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy helping clients, patients, and my coworkers succeed.
