I have worked in coaching and person centred planning, social care / support work; and employment and training with services supporting multiple client groups for twenty-five years +. I am driven and motivated to assist people from all walks of life to work towards and achieve their individual goals and ambitions. Client groups with additional barriers supported include: - learning difficulties; physical disabilities; health conditions; young offenders; care leavers; school leavers; people with mental health issues; people with addiction issues; head injuries; older people; long term unemployed, and people with neurodiverse conditions. I have worked in employment liaison/mentoring and coaching roles covering much of the West of Scotland, Edinburgh, and North Lanarkshire, and have coordinated the SERI (Scottish Employers Recruitment Incentive) funding for The Scottish Borders 2016 – 17. Also worked in the care sector within care management roles in the Glasgow area, supporting people with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities within the community, inc. 24 hour support services. I am currently working as Employability Lead for Unity Enterprise, developing their employment programme to suit various client groups - supporting people towards gaining suitable and sustainable outcomes in either training, further education, voluntary or paid employment. I am also self employed as a Person Centred Planner and Life Coach at 'Back On Track Life Coaching'. Providing an affordable and effective service and for anyone seeking clear step by step plans to guide them towards their goals and dreams. I have a strong commitment to person centred approaches and in supporting people to gain maximum social inclusion and independence, and believe that I have a particular skill for encouraging others to take constructive steps forward in their lives, and feel that I achieve maximum progress with clients in the given time. I have non-discriminatory values, and a strong social conscience, and am naturally drawn to roles where I am able to support; motivate and encourage others to make positive changes in their lives.I have a BA (Open) Honours Degree focusing on Social Psychology and Care Management.
