As a key member of the Charlotte Checkers' Gameday Operations team, I contribute to delivering a seamless and engaging fan experience at every home game. My responsibilities span event coordination, logistics, and fan engagement, ensuring that all game-related activities run smoothly and efficiently.Event Coordination: Oversee pre-game ceremonies, intermission entertainment, and sponsor activations to enhance the overall fan experienceGame Setup & Teardown: Manage the setup of rink-side equipment, signage, fan zones, and other game-day elements, as well as post-game breakdown and cleanup.Fan Engagement: Collaborate with marketing teams to support fan-focused initiatives, including contests, promotional giveaways, and in-game announcements.Logistics & Communication: Coordinate with referees, coaches, and team staff to ensure timelines are met, while addressing any operational issues that arise during the event.Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, working with arena security and first responders to maintain a secure environment for players, staff, and fans.

In my role as President, I oversee all aspects of the team's operations, working closely with the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League (ACCHL) and numerous club teams along the East Coast. My responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks that require strategic planning, coordination, and effective time management to ensure the successful operation of the team while balancing my full-time academic commitments.Season Planning & Scheduling: I take charge of organizing the entire season, which includes coordinating games, scheduling practices, and arranging off-ice events. This involves regular communication with the ACCHL and various club teams to confirm dates, venues, and logistics, ensuring a smooth and conflict-free season.Team Logistics & Operations: I manage key operational elements such as travel arrangements, securing practice facilities, and handling team merchandise orders. This includes collaborating with vendors, negotiating deals, and overseeing the timely delivery of gear and supplies.Leadership & Coordination: I lead efforts in planning and executing internships and team-building activities that strengthen the team's cohesion both on and off the ice. My role requires a high level of responsibility and autonomy, balancing these duties alongside my academic workload.Time Management & Balance: Successfully managing the complex operations of a competitive hockey team while being a full-time student has honed my time management, multitasking, and organizational skills. Overlooked and designed many different post for the different social media platforms. Using software's like Adobe Photoshop and Sony Vegas allowed me to transform the social media presence of Appalachian State Hockey. Throughout my two years of running the social media accounts I have been able to accomplish growing these platforms to new heights. We are constantly getting national recognition from the biggest Club Hockey social media presence "The Hockey House", and have grown our following to over 2,400 followers on Instagram. This makes us the most followed club sports account on campus and ranked in the top 50 club hockey team followings in the nation. We have also grown our Twitter account to reach many new audiences including getting attention from former Appalachian State Football players in the NFL including Thomas Hennigan. Through our social medias we have been able to grow our teams website which is ran through OptimX Sports. This has allowed us to increase our sales in jerseys, hats, and many more team merchandise to help fund some of the season expenses. In over the last year we have been able to grow our website to reach over 20,000 visitors and generate over $15,000 in sales.
