Two BK117 C-2's came equipped with Wescam MX15 video camera's with night vision capability. The Wescam aircraft also have a two frequency downlink transmitter. The aircraft has the capability of sending a digital video and audio signal to a portable downlink receiver. The Bk117 C-2 also have a four million candle-power search light. I organized and executed a training program so my team could use and care of the MX15 system, downlink and night sun search light systemsDirectly responsible for fielding and establishing a maintenance program that did not follow traditional Army doctrine; created the program by virtue of being the sole maintainer airframe and power-plant mechanic (A/P) of four BK117 C-2’s without clear cut guidance. Wrote standard-operating-procedure (SOP) out of necessity to clarify methods conducting day to day operations BK117 C-2.
