Gleem exists to empower people to enjoy their jobs.I started Gleem in order to (selfishly) enjoy my job, and that has manifested itself into a business with a purpose: to redefine an industry whereby traditionally people work long hard hours in jobs they don't enjoy, for companies that don't care about them.We offer cleaners (rare) progression opportunities, and are building a community of people, all driven towards achieving our vision to empower as many people as possible.Gleem has gone though a number of iterations in it's life.From a Residential Cleaning Company we later launched into a hybrid of Residential an Commercial Cleaning.In 2022 we successfully sold the Commercial side of the business and now find ourselves scaling the Residential cleaning side of the business.This business has taught me, via verious methods (failures being one of them) about small business, entrepreneurship and personal ambition.

Whilst on the hunt for larger office space for my cleaning compant Gleem, I found an large office in a great location and knew I needed to book a viewing.Whilst startin Gleem I had worked in a co-working space and absolutely felt the lack of community as a real challenge to connect and feel support in the midst of my venture.The space was rough around the edges, but I felt the potential.I hired staff and (on a budget), renovated the old, tired space into a far more modern, open plan workspace.Raw Space opened it's doors at 111 Gloucester Road, in the centre of the Local Independent high street.We sought to centre the business around the concepts of community and colaboration, introducing accountability groups, weekly lunches, drinks evenings, poker nights, yoga sessions, food business events and charitable events.Raw Space gave local small businesses an self-employed people an office space to feel productive and welcome in.After spending more time living remotely abroad, I successfully sold the business in 2021 to a fantastic member who has continued to guide the space and positively impact the quality of our members' work-lives

The foundation of my experience in the cleaning industry.I planned and planned until an encourter at a free coaching event led to some excellent advice to be more 'Ready, Fire, Aim' and less 'Ready, Aim Fire'.Tidy and Shiny was launched on a budget of £70: I had a logo designed on Fiverr, then a flyer designed on Fiverr before having 10,000 flyers printer.I distributed the flyers through doors, and one day received a phone call: someone wanted to book a clean...I wasn't prepared.I took the booking, called one of my best friends and asked him to split the revenue with me 50/50 if he could drive us to a supermarket to buy supplies and clean with me. He agreed, and the business was born.From there, consistency and persistence created a small local business that grew to £73,000 turnover in Year 1 and £225,000 in Year 2.At this point, the name Tidy and Shiny began to feel rather tongue in cheek, and it was time for a re-brand...queue Gleem
