- Continued development of switch platform software for Composable Switch Fabric infrastructure (1G/10G/100G top-of-rack Ethernet switches).- Completed final phases to support file writes in "platform services"; a virtual filesystem that provided read/write platform integration to all higher level switch applications, regardless of language. -- Overcame limitations in FUSE to support inotify functionality. - Developed Linux-based platforms for data center top-of-rack 1G/10G/100G switches as part of a two-person team.- Helped transition the platform base from Buildroot to Debian 8 (Jessie) and later Debian 9 (Stretch). -- Fully package based (.deb); automated build-time package construction, including maintainer scripts. -- Seamless user system upgrade compatibility was maintained through each major transition. -- System startup and monitoring scheme updated from sysVinit/monit to systemd.- Designed and developed an adaptation library between legacy device/node management services and internal dataplane managers that ran in an Erlang VM. -- Implemented in C++ with a set of data classes (interface table, FDB, etc.) and a set of communications classes over various IPC (LINX, Erlang CNode, etc.). -- Performance caching and synchronization using Posix threads.- Co-designed and co-developed "platform services" adaptation layer between hardware manager daemons written in C and higher level applications written in various other languages (e.g. Erlang, C/C++, Python, Bash). -- Utilized a FUSE based virtual file system simplifying the interface to trivial file reads and writes. -- Presented to upper layer software all of the underlying hardware information within the virtual directory structure, all customized for each platform. -- Designed and implemented as a set of independent, dynamic plugins functionally organized around a generic core.- Co-developed a configuration layer leveraging Puppet, that provided a more consistent, structured definition of attributes that needed to be disseminated among the various Debian system config files of varying formats.- GNU Makefile based build scheme modified to run within a consistent Docker environment. - Web UI development lead - hosted weekly meetings, coordinated discussions on all UI-related topics. Heavy focus was placed on feature parity among all UI's along with consistent look and feel among numerous service processor platforms.- Developed Web UI for the embedded service processors used for managing the entire line of x64 and SPARC servers and blades. All were implemented using straight HTML and Javascript with some light framework pieces developed in-house. GoAhead web server on Linux with server-side ASP calls done in C.- Invented, designed and developed a graphical, browser-based tool for managing SAS Zoning settings for SAS and SATA disks shared within a blade chassis.- Wrote several feature backend modules (all in C) and enhanced several others. - Integrated several purchased software modules for 802.11 WiFi access point (WindRiver PNE - Platform for Networking Equipment). Some VxWorks BSP work for Intel XSCALE based platform. Extensive network troubleshooting and debugging.- Evaluated, integrated and tested several candidate WiFi drivers. Worked extensively with WindRiver to troubleshoot and get their newest features working for our product needs as well as meet WiFi Alliance standards (tested through UNH Inter-Operability Lab - IOL).- Wrote driver bus interface for SiLabs Si3210M SLIC/Codec on a SPI bus emulated over GPIO.
