I cover all reconstructive surgical instrument and implant inventory in all of Texas and New Mexico with the exception of the Dallas and Houston areas. I oversee the warehouses and personnel in El Paso, Albuquerque, and San Antonio. I hold a pivotal role for our district that requires me to be flexible and fill many different roles as we will adjust to a quickly changing medical field. I am responsible for managing all surgical instrument and implant inventory for my district which includes keeping a focus on surgeon needs and use of our sets, moving instruments and implants between hospitals to reduce freight and risk of not being able to cover emergency cases, ordering or reducing inventory as surgical trends change, justifying equipment and implant expenditures and budget, controlling loss, providing all needed support for our sales team, and following HIPAA and medical regulations, and maintaining a trained and competent team. My team manages the surgical case needs of 52 sales reps, who provide product support to surgeons during cases. This includes identifying instrument and implant sets needed to cover all cases in the district by moving sets between hospitals, sales reps, and loaner banks, along with acquiring additional instrument and implants as needed to cover emergency cases. We use utilize FedEx, couriers, flights, warehouse personnel, and buses to cover emergency cases while trying to keep shipping or freight costs down. My team also coordinates with other districts and loaner banks to make sure all surgical cases are covered around the country.

My team and I handle all the surgical needs for both instruments and implants, for our orthopedic sales team. I oversee the inventory and logistic needs for 29 sales reps who cover west Texas and New Mexico. This includes analyzing asset utilization, increasing and decreasing inventory in the field based upon surgeon needs, working with other facilities and reps to fulfill emergency surgical needs, and doing physical audits. I was recently chosen to be one of 10 managers to go through the premier launch of the Pioneer Leadership Program with Smith & Nephew, hosted in our corporate offices in Andover MA. This incredible program has increased my communication and coaching skills.

San Antonio, Texas Area

I oversaw the depot location in San Antonio Texas. I was brought in to open and run this warehouse. I am over inventory, daily logistics, training and policy, 3PL management, and cover multiple locations when they are short handed. I have a proven track record of managing inventory and shrink, and currently track and review shrink issues across the region. I recently completed a full inventory with a 100% accuracy over approximately 30,000 cases and consistently maintain 99.98% pick accuracy. After a recent company wide inventory count, my location ranked first in pick and case accuracy over the last 9 month period. I also review the inventory for other locations and have been helping train them on better inventory management, and procedures. One warehouse I recently helped trained has improved inventory accuracy by 3.1% in the first month, and they have been able to maintain the accuracy since then. I have assisted 4 other depots in setting up better inventory controls and pick policies. All 4 depots have seen accuracy increases averaging 2.4% improvements.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

I shared responsibility for all inventory, supply, and logistic processes coming out of our Salt Lake City depot. We ship over 3,000,000 cases each year both locally and to 4 bordering states. Processes include inventory control, shipping schedules and routes, truck management, shrink both in warehouse and trucks, order accuracy, and coordination with 3PL as they work with our cases. I use SAP daily in order to coordinate orders with 3PL. I also stepped in and ran the entire Salt Lake operation for 3 months while the warehouse lead was out with an injury.
