Joseph is a Design Lead / Senior Project Coordinator for the Southwest Light Rail Transit Project Office. In this role Joseph combines his knowledge of architecture and light rail train systems. Previous to this position his projects bridged Metro Transit departments of Engineering & Facilities, Rail Quality Assurance, Rail Operations, Rail Signals & Communications, Traction Power, and Track.On the side, Joseph is a registered Architect in the Twin Cities area, helping friends with their diverse construction projects. His interests range from Prairie Style to contemporary design in both commercial and residential projects. He was the lead designer for the third LEED for Homes Platinum Certified home in Minnesota and has had projects published in the Star Tribune, Midwest Home, and Bathroom Trends.Before working with Metro Transit Joseph has worked with many architecture, contractor, and manufacturing companies in Minnesota and Wisconsin. At Domain Architecture & Design Joe was an Associate / Project Manager. Projects at Domain composed of historic home remodeling, new homes with period styling, new contemporary lofts, and several commercial spaces. At Streeter & Associates Joe was with the design department team creating elegant homes around the Lake Minnetonka area. At WCL Associates Joe worked on a variety of projects including multifamily housing developments and Best Buy anchor stores. And at Greenheck Fan Corporation, Joe designed commercial kitchen ventilation systems and high-volume production machinery.Joseph received his Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. While at the University he studied in Venice and Lisbon, receiving a Graduate Student Thesis Award, a Design Excellence Award, and a Bill and Elizabeth Pedersen Graduate Fellowship.
