As an administrative assistant at College Achieve, I was tasked with the responsibility of doing the daily data entry for the National School Lunch Program which involved entry statistics, analysis, and reports. Being involved with the school lunch program, I had to track budget costs for each of the items that were being purchased and handed out during both breakfast and lunch for the kids during their mealtimes. This information needed to be gathered and entered precisely since this was how the school received funding and grants so it could offer students free lunches to those who couldn’t afford it. I also tracked the expense reports for each of the teacher’s supplies they needed for their classrooms; this involved communication with all teachers and developing an in-depth spreadsheet that my director could easily track to make sure budget costs were not being exceeded.

As an extern for Cisco Systems, I worked directly with a senior project manager learning hands on about data analysis and sales processes. I sharpened certain computer literacy skillsets diving into programs such as excel, email communication, and database management. I was able to sit in on 6 meetings in which I was able to see how members of the company discuss in totality the importance of reaching target margins and how to strategize to bring in new clients with better turnover rates which will allow for the company to see an increase in data driven sales.

As a warehouse operations associate I started out by loading and unloading the trucks as well as getting them ready for transport. Quickly I realized that this process had flaws that made loading and unloading the trucks an even greater task. I was able to speak with my manager and the logistics lead and come up with a process that helped getting the boxes on and off the truck at a faster rate which resulted in a +10% efficiency rate for workers to unload the trucks in one unit. Due to an organizational need, I was promoted to a warehouse lead in which I was able to lead a small team in the duties of what a warehouse operations associate is and assign them to the trucks that needed to be unloaded. With this position I was responsible for filing daily logs of how much was completed during my shift by my team to make sure productivity margins were met for that day. Also, I was responsible for ensuring that all products met quality requirements and upheld Amazon standards.

As a sales representative/sales lead I thought critically and implemented a new promotional strategy which drove a +15% upward turnaround in the profitability of Foot Locker’s Bridgewater location. In the first 3 months upon joining the team I achieved top 10 regional sales rank due to my understanding of customer satisfaction and customer support. This position offered an opportunity to provide individual customer service in a creative, productive, and sustainable working dynamic that analyzed daily communication logs, profit margins, encouraged collaboration on matters of management, responsibility, marketing, and strategic planning with the store manager.
