In this position, I defined the corporate-wide technology strategy; this included defining standards, a multi-state datacenter strategy, and product delivery models that were factored to consider maintenance, support, scalability and growth. I built a staff of over 20 IT and Development staff across 5 DevOps teams, including recruiting, hiring, and performance evaluations. Other key accomplishments were:▪ Work closely with executives and board members to defined multi-year corporate-wide technology strategy, defining standards, a multi-state datacenter strategy, and product delivery models with consideration for maintenance, support, scalability and growth. ▪ Built and performed all staff management for 10 DevOps and technology teams of +65 IT and Development staff, including recruiting, hiring, and performance evaluations. ▪ Initiated and chaired a project steering committee, implementing change control processes and procedures▪ Managed a $15M+ budget, establishing technical budgets across all horizontals and verticals.▪ Managed vendor relationships for IT and telecommunications services, ensuring SLA compliance and negotiating contracts.▪ Led the effort to decouple the key application into a variety of micro services, restructuring to handle fault tolerance, multitenancy, and elasticity.▪ Won RFPs by establishing SOC2 and SOC3 reporting against internal controls for security, availability, processing integrity, and confidentiality.

I architected, deployed and migrated a new Active Directory domain and Exchange environment. I also served as a mentor to other IT and IS department team members. Additional achievement included:▪ Created the software developers’ first Virtual Environment leveraging VMware 3.x.▪ Architected and deployed a 75-node Hadoop cluster running Open Apache, then upgrading to Cloudera Hadoop.▪ Managed over 500 physical and virtual servers. Architected and helped scale the initial hybrid cloud technologies to Infinite Campus that lowered overall cost and increased revenue and profit margins for the company from 12% to 20-25%.▪ Proposed and built out a cloud offering model which increased profit margins and resulted in an overall cost savings of $1M on an annual basis.

▪ Created and deployed a solution for SAP instances to all store and distributions centers (DCs) using Citrix Presentation server, providing on-going SAP administration and support.▪ Setup, deployed, and maintained corporate remote access solution, UNIX/Linux environments, Cisco Wireless Solutions in DCs, and Windows Server images.
