Managed credit risk for the Consumer Bank. Accountable for risk strategy, performance, oversight, and regulatory engagement across Residential Mortgage, Home Equity, Business Banking, Merchant Services, Indirect Auto, Personal Loans, and Consumer Cards. Represented department for business development opportunities (new products, portfolio purchases, and sales), strategic planning, stress testing, and internal and external examinations.

Served as deputy Chief Credit Officer. Provided end-to-end management for the U.S. Consumer and Small Business portfolio and 100+ risk colleagues. Key areas of focus: (1) ensured portfolios were optimally positioned for projected economic and regulatory environment, (2) prepared risk narrative and special topics for Executive Risk Committee and Board of Directors meeting, (3) drafted external disclosures and supported separation from Royal Bank of Scotland, (4) responsible for portfolio monitoring, risk appetite, and departmental governance, and (5) managed loss forecasting, collection strategy, and credit bureau management. Led team of 25+ risk professionals.

Assessed and mitigated corporate counter party risk exposure for 500 principal MasterCard members in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Conducted financial stress testing for borderline compliant members. Reviewed client failures with full committee. Negotiated collateral amount and adjustments with non-compliant financial institutions. Led 4-member professional team.
