Manage the Office of Diversity and Civil Right’s Investigations, Training & Mediation Unit. Responsibilities include oversight of the work of Civil Rights Investigators, Trainers and Mediators for MassDOT/MBTA, consisting of nearly 10,000 employees. Manage employee and customer Civil Rights complaints and recommended discipline. Manage, develop and implement MBTA program and Training modules. Manage the MassDOT/MBTA Mediation program, and assess approach, arrange and conduct Mediations and Facilitated Dialogues. Oversee the development and delivery of specialized training. Identify through statistical and anecdotal evidence and findings, patterns of civil rights violations within MassDOT/MBTA and ascertain appropriate remedial measures.

Qualified to identify, evaluate and respond to sexual and gender-based complaints and their harm to equal opportunity in an impartial, unbiased, and independent manner. Possess relevant expertise and experience in receiving reports of sexual or gender-based harassment and supervising resolution of complaints.

Creation, implementation, administration and management of the Early Intervention Pro Se Mediation Program: Mediated and administrated all ranges of cases filed at the MCAD, including employment, housing, education and public accommodation matters, involving private and public sector parties, unions, international and domestic businesses, and small, large and family-owned concerns, as well as represented and pro-se individuals.
