We did a lot of powertrain manufacturing planning and during production, engine trouble shooting. There was lots to do as with any product launch. We were allowed a voice to Head Gasket design and performance to the overall improvement of the engine. This helped solve problems in getting to market.I also spent a lot of time with the Daimler side of the business, here and abroad.We performed benchmark in both power/torque/fuel consumption and manufacturing cost assessment for comparable engines within the group. They had processes and equipment we were not able to source due to cost/timing concerns. Just knowing it was within the organization helped us.

I worked for the previous Reinz Wisconsin Gasket Co as the primary developer of Head and soft gaskets for the Detroit automotive markets. I helped sell at various levels to explain potential customer solutions. I had a great team behind me, and we were successful in taking some key products from the competition. With only minimal resources and lots of development work we took the LS1 Corvette business from the current supplier. Post acquisition by Victor Dana and the move to Lisle,IL., I had different responsibilities.
