Joseph Lopez is currently a Senior at Purdue University's Honors College studying Electrical Engineering. He is seeking research and work experience in the Nanotechnology industry and hopes to pave the path to the efficient and ethical development of novel technologies.He has 5+ years of work experience including four engineering internships. This past summer he was recognized for a Spread Positivity Initiative at NextEra Energy's Town Hall. He also contributed to major initiatives such as solar standardization, hurricane relief streamlining, and many other technical projects providing a holistic understanding of renewable energy companies. Two summers ago, he was able to transform the Wood Pole Analysis Project, which is in control of 1.34 million assets, into a more efficient process. He also contributed to a National Science Foundation proposal for Purdue Northwest's Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation pertaining to solar power.In addition to work experience, Joseph is currently completing research at Purdue's Birck Nanotechnology Center on quantum sensing. He has developed his safety fundamentals as well as presented his research at a NanoV Conference at Birck Nanotechnology Center. From social skills to strategic management skills, Joseph Lopez is very effective in the laboratory and workplace. As for more technical skills, he is proficient in multiple coding languages, program management, leadership, and much more. He is looking for opportunities to work as well as continue research in graduate school.
