I was made the Partnerships Officer in May 2015 after the scope of my duties and responsibilities expanded to include multiple partners. The main purpose for this then new position was to plan and implement projects in accordance with Juhudi Kilimo’s strategic priorities through partnerships that will ensure a successful delivery of Juhudi Kilimo’s products, services, programs and initiatives. Through this role, I've helped fund raise and nurture 3 start-ups companies - Ojay Greene, Futurepump & F3 Life - through Juhudi Lab's Start-up Residency Program: Ojay Greene links rural smallholder farmers to local and international markets; Futurepump assembles and distributes solar-powered pumps ideal for irrigation of small farms; and F3 Life provides 'Climate Smart' financial services to rural smallholder farmers to improve their resilience against climate change and de-risk lenders' agricultural portfolios against climate change.

Roles:• Fund-raise interest-free loan capital on Kiva Website.• Facilitate borrower verification audit• Benchmark performance against industry peers , prepare presentations and performance report• Train 165 loan officers on Kiva processes across all 28 field offices

I joined Juhudi Kilimo Limited (JKL), a for-profit microfinance in Kenya that elevates the livelihoods of rural smallholder farmers in Kenya by providing them with access to agriculture-based micro-asset loans. My first role in JKL was a Kiva Intern. As the Kiva intern, my duties were; reviewing loan application forms, creating loan repayment schedules for borrowers, posting of borrower profiles on a crowd-funding website and filing of loan forms.

Kenya Power owns and operations most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in Kenya and sells electricity to over 2.5 Million Kenyans. I was attached there in 2014 for 4 months. I worked in the marketing department as a marketing intern. I was responsible for customer service, client recruitment, handling supply contracts, client education and conflict resolution.
