In October of 2020, I took a senior position for Training and Curriculum at Special Boat Team 12. In this role I managed 25 tactical instructors annually during six-month high-risk training programs. In May of 2015 I accepted a rewarding opportunity as key advisor between US Special Operations Teams, US Embassy Country Teams, and Global Partnerships in Asia Pacific. My role included creating and assessing short and long-term objectives, planning logistics, and optimizing a multi-million-dollar budget for six major operations and activities annually. The framework of success was through cultivating interagency and multinational relationships that increase Special Operations Forces brand and support for national interests. SWCC is a part of the United States Naval Special Warfare Command team that operates and maintains an inventory of small craft used to conduct special operations missions, particularly those of the U.S. Navy SEALs. Individually, SEALs and SWCC go through separate specialized training programs that emphasize special operations in the maritime environment. SWCC are trained extensively in craft and weapons tactics, techniques, and procedures. Focusing on clandestine infiltration and exfiltration of SEALs and other special operations forces, SWCC provides dedicated, rapid mobility in shallow water areas where large ships cannot operate. SWCC must be physically fit, highly motivated, combat-focused, and responsive in high-stress situations.
