I consider myself a higher education evangelist, committing my professional endeavors to strengthening the mission of the teaching institution. For the past 12 years I have served as the President of Laramie County Community College (L-Triple C). Over that time the College has completed nearly $200 million in facilities improvements, grown our Foundation’s endowment to over $50 million, celebrated multiple record-setting graduating classes, and witnessed graduation rates more than double. Prior to joining LCCC, I spent a decade at Montana State University-Great Falls (now called Great Falls College of MSU), serving in a variety of roles, the last being the campus Dean and CEO. I have also worked in non-profit, municipal, and private industry, including owning and operating a successful design and Internet consulting company with clients all over the world.I do my best to remain active both locally and nationally, having chaired and served on commissions, executive boards and committees of national associations and on the boards of various community and business organizations. This includes serving as the Chair of the Board of the American Association of Community Colleges, America’s voice for the more than 1,000 colleges and millions of students. I lecture, present, and write on a variety of topics.I received my Associate Degree from Bemidji State University (MN), a Bachelor of Science from The University of Montana, a Masters of Science from Montana Tech, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from The University of Montana.I am an avid outdoorsman and has a deep passion for the great outdoors.
