It Director - Senior Vice President
Tampa, Florida, Us
Achieved rapid promotion through a series of increasingly responsible roles based on exceptional performance. Provided balanced oversight for helpdesk operations, network support, and technological facilities maintenance, with a significant hardware and software budget. Entrusted with defining and executing vision for secure network infrastructure with multiple layers of redundancy and replication across 10 sites, 280 desktops, and 60+ servers. Commanded team of 15, encompassing in-house data center, FISERV/ITI Premier client, and in-house helpdesk support. Maintained critical emphasis on protecting client financial and personal information. Contributed leadership and direction to both Technology Committee and Board of Directors during key, technically challenging initiatives. Led technical organization through numerous audits by FDIC, State of Florida, and in-house auditors.Over nine years, I led the IT Team at The Bank of Tampa through significant technology change. Numerous projects led to continued service improvement and evaluation to ensure information technology met the needs of the bank, and ultimately the bank’s clients. I established service level agreements with internal departments and annual reviews ensured that the team maintained that level at all times. I always approached my department as a ‘business within a business’ and to that end, I developed an approach to client service that placed the client (internal user) at the top of the priority list. IT projects, internal initiatives, and administrative tasks were all secondary to a client request. I can honestly say that this is the most challenging and rewarding aspect to IT services. Balancing today’s crises with the overall project plan is critical to the success of any IT Department, and I believe that it is only through planning, the use of proper project management methods, and robust communication that success is achieved.
