National Science Foundation funded project to create 30 historical short stories to help post-secondary students explore the development of landmark science concepts through the eyes of the contributing scientists. My responsibilities were to develop and maintain the web site, help proof and edit the articles, and design and build the articles into a pdf.

Facilitators assist boot camp rookies (to-be dads) and boot camp veterans (dads with a child) in discussing roadblocks to being a father, preparing for a first child, child safety, and parenting techniques.

This NSF funded project produced multiple web accessible Covid-19 articles and source materials for a post-secondary student audience. These resources are available to the public, but have been designed for use by college instructors in their science courses.

This cafe provides hot and cold beverages, panini sandwiches, homemade soups, and an assortment of pastries and snack foods. My area of specialty is in creating hot drinks. Espresso-based drinks include the americano, latte, mocha, breve. Other hot drinks include chai tea, Ghirardelli cocoa, and other customer-defined drinks. I have experience on a Nouva.

I worked with authors to submit and revise manuscripts that highlight inquiry activities, teacher strategies, and other timely topics. I worked with a team of editors and peer-reviewers to ensure quality articles are produced. I created high quality, attractive, magazine style article layouts that are posted online at the Iowa Science Teachers Journal site.

I taught Science Methods courses for Elementary Education majors. The course introduced prospective elementary teachers to current pedagogical perspectives with respect to science education. The course helped future teachers design and successfully conduct developmentally appropriate science instruction.

I worked for several philosophy professors in their introductory, large-lecture (100+ students) courses. I graded essays and held office hours to meet with students. I occasionally filled in as a guest lecturer.

Logistical support through several classes of supplies; supervisor of soldiers performing logistic duties involving the storage, tracking, issue, and security of sensitive military supplies.

During peace times status, my duties included leadership over a 30-soldier platoon. My responsibilities were to ensure proficiency in individual soldier skills, physical training, and mission readiness. I was assigned as a training instructor, combat lifesaver, and primary weapons range officer for weapons qualifications.

I was part of a small detachment at a logistics base within Baghdad. In the event of an attack on our base or casualties in our city sector, we reported to our triage center and provided medical services to wounded US military, coalition forces, Iraq National Guardsmen, Iraqi Police, contractors, Iraqi civilians, and suspected insurgents.

As a part of my responsibilities as a grader for several philosophy professors, I occasionally had the opportunity to lecture on behalf of individual professors.

I taught a Ninth Grade level astronomy course for five sections of approximately 25-students per section. This was for the first part of the school year while the regular teacher was on maternity leave. This was a perfect opportunity to get my feet wet while concurrently enrolled full time as a graduate student in science education.
