A Construction Assistant ensures that administrative tasks are efficiently handled, allowing other construction professionals to focus on the technical and operational aspects of the project. Effective organization, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential for success in this role. This role is ongoing.Additional responsibilities include: - Assisting in procurement by acquiring price quotes, soliciting bids, and monitoring order status.- Maintaining meticulous inventory records and overseeing the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.- Contributing to the oversight of project budgets and expenditures, which includes processing invoices, receipts, and financial documents and preparing cost reports and financial summaries.- Collaborating in establishing and upkeep of project schedules and calendars, and coordinating meetings, site visits, and inspections for the project team.- Managing incoming and outgoing communications, which encompasses handling emails, phone calls, and faxes, drafting and distributing project-related correspondence to various stakeholders, and maintaining contact lists for project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.- Playing a role in upholding quality control standards on the construction site, participating in inspections, and thoroughly documenting any deficiencies or issues that may arise.- Providing on-site support as necessitated, which involves coordinating deliveries, equipment, and personnel and contributing to maintaining a clean and well-organized construction site.- Generating regular reports that detail project progress, budgets, and expenses and compiling data for the benefit of project managers and other team members.
