Global operation and support of off-shore telemetry systems for sub-sea burial and free lay of high voltage power cable and fiber optic data transmission lines. Responsibilities included repair and/or replacement of sensors and components in harsh, saltwater environments. Position required both work at sea aboard company vessels during operations and also working with the Prysmian team at their warehouses in Italy. Additional responsibilities included researching and developing backup systems, sourcing system components, and testing proof-of-concept in a controlled facility. Worked with many marine specific systems including side scan sonar, 3D imaging and CCTV equipment. 3D modeling of new concepts and occasionally existing equipment for review and modifications. Design and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems for equipment operation including closed loop logic for position feedback.

Engineering of internal mechanical components and external case design of biomedical simulators and test equipment. All product concepts initially software modeled, was responsible for sourcing and producing working prototypes as well as low production runs of devices for hospital testing.

Responsible for evaluation and repair of commercial and industrial machine components. Applications include automotive, marine and aircraft. Custom fabrication of replacement parts based on client’s requirements or items that are no longer available. Assist with maintenance and repair of in house machinery and advise suitable replacements when necessary. Completed AERA (Automotive Engine Builders Association) diploma program while employed at Ted's. Proficient in the use of both manual and CNC based milling and turning equipment.
