CBA Uganda T24 Core banking system implementation: July to Sept 2018The project involved separating the T24 core banking for CBA Uganda from the multi-tenant model where all CBA group countries database/data across all operations. This was aimed are complying with regulatory requirements.b. Data Centre CollocationThis involved relocating Primary and Secondary Data Centres from CBA premises to Collocated and managed Data Centre services. This is aimed improve scalability, reliability and uptime while also reduce related IT and Management Cost of running the Data Centresc. Database ConsolidationOracle database consolidation project is to consolidate CBAs Oracle databases spread over five different datacenters and several physical servers into two Oracle M8 Supercluster servers for the two target data centers sites serving the bank. d. SAS AML Upgrade from version 5.1 to 7.1: July to Dec 2018The project objective is to upgrade the Anti-Money Laundering Solution from Version 5.1 to 7.1 to enable CBA keep pace with rapidly changing and rising regulatory expectations and utilize the multi-company (Multi-Business Unit) feature for the subsidiaries.e. Developed MeetWeUp which is a GPS based android application that enables people to conveniently meet by exchanging locations and thus get the direction. MeetWeUp is available in google play store.MeetWeUp uses instant messaging (IM) technology, specifically Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). The key components are the client application, a backend XMPP application server and uses Firebasea messaging solution.• The client application is developed using android studio, uses ROOM DATABASE for storing data in the users’ mobile phone.• The backend XMPP application server is a java application developed using eclipse IDE. This is integrated with a Firestore database, a NoSQL database from Google.• Messaging solution Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).• The backend application is running on google app engine flexible cloud environment.
