Overall management of the Minc Services Group. Growing the group from inception to a large geographical spread organisation with offices in Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth.Developed numerous computer operating systems and the entire operational manual including Policies and Procedures for the Group.

The Kone Elevators operation (Northern NSW, Qld, and NT) had been improved over several years, especially in the area of product reliability. We instigated a strategy and plan to select quality staff and put in place procedures and tools that assisted in continual improvement.Other results to support the achievements were to more than double the size of the maintenance business in 7 years, increase the new constructions business to over $30 Million through organic growth, report a major turnaround in repeat business from new and high profile customers and expand the business geographically to suit the demands of the state of Queensland and NT. Secured the majority of the landmark vertical transportation business on the Brisbane CBD riverfront.I was also involved in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Initially from an electrical / electronic background, I was involved in the commissioning of elevators and escalators across the whole range of Commerce and Industry. This included providing technical and design skills including circuit design on projects for commercial, industrial, residential, mines, ski-lifts, etc.Throughout this period I was involved in the design and testing of new lift systems in the Kone Elevators test tower at Waterloo. After successful testing these products were installed across Australia and New Zealand. I assisted in the initial training and commissioning of these new systems as they were launched. I was also involved in the assessment and subsequent recommendation of any improvements of an international standard escalator which was manufactured by Kone in the USA for global export.ELEVATOR EXPERIENCEPLC’s, microprocessors, AI logic systems, solid state, SCR DC and VVVF AC drive controller systems. Geared, gearless, MRL and PM/AC traction hoist machines; High, Mid and Low rise passenger and freight applications. Gear Traction hoists, Hydraulic elevator passenger and freight applications. Freight and passenger elevator door operating systems; Chain and driven electro mechanical selectors and levelling systems. Car sling, platform and cab construction; standard, corner post and cantilever applications. Governors, Type A, B and C safeties and activation. Hall and cab signal fixture installation and operation. Car and hoist way door equipment including door panels, door jambs, operators and door detection devices; Levelling devices and door zone sensors.Code-required inspections and testing.
