Home Furnishings and Accessories President and owner of 7,000 sq ft luxury home furnishings and accessories store open to the public and designers. We carried a very wide product range of mid to high end home furnishings for the entire home including carpet, lighting, kitchen and bath, furniture, upholstery, garden pottery and statuary. I provided hands on management for every aspect of day to day operations. Buyer for home design markets in New York, High Point, Dallas, Atlanta and local artisans. Created one of AZ’s most well-known design stores incorporating antiques with exotic and unique furnishings and accessories from around the world. Sales were in excess of $5 million annually. Very similar in concept and product lines to ABC Home in NYC.

Manufacturer, importing, wholesale and retail distributor. Designed and manufacturer of pottery and iron products from Mexico for wholesale sales to retail stores and catalog companies. Created company with partner, Anthony Vanetucci. Design of products, worked very closely with our manufacturers in Mexico, tracked shipping to distribution centers in AZ and major retailers. Designed and maintained showrooms in New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago and High Point. Major key accounts included Crate and Barrel, Gumps, Nieman Marcus, Costco, and hundreds of independent retailers.

Created a fine design and home furnishing store in Old Towne Scottsdale catering to mainly the design industry. Responsible for aspects of managing business and coordinated the inventory with products that were designed, manufactured and imported by me from Mexico as well as product from higher end distributors.

Bought restaurant from Tumbledown's chain, located in the lower CT valley area. Redesigned and renamed the 60 seat restaurant and created a more upscale ambience. Oversaw all aspects of the business from hiring to quality control food and liquor costs, ordering, accounting, media, product image. Aggressive advertising and promotion created extensive name recognition. Quadrupled sales in just 2 years.

Bought failing grocery store, renovated and redesigned interior and created a new concept. Purchased product and inventory to reflect the surrounding affluent community’s demand. Very similar to a gourmet Whole Foods store, but ahead of its time and ultimately did not prove to be profitable. The store received much acclaim in media, the grocer’s associations, and trade journals for innovation, quality and beautiful design.

Catering business and restaurant for Essex Yacht Club. Provided restaurant service for yacht club members and provided catering service for many outside events and organizations. Oversaw general manager and dining staff. Sold this business in conjunction with the Black Seal
