To provide overall strategic HR leadership to the business and drive key HR initiatives in areas such as recruiting, performance management, compensation planning, laws/regulations compliance, healthcare/401K benefits administration, PTO administration, payroll, training and development, safety, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

• Develops programs and implementation plan recommendations to senior management for improvement of the company’s human capital management, including policies, procedures, practices and rollout schedules for all programs impacting people.• Works with senior management to ensure that all people programs, processes and communications support and enhance the company’s core values and mission.• Plans, organizes, and leads all activities of the HR department including goals, plans, objectives, and operations including key systems, processes and procedures.• Evaluates and advises management on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the organization.• Recommends new approaches, programs, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the company’s human resources department’s performance.• Develops staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the company.• Maintains company compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all human resources matters. • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.• Administer benefit programs including negotiations with vendors ensuring the most cost-effective and comprehensive benefits are provided to employees.• Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation to make the company a better place to work.• Consults with legal counsel as appropriate• Works directly with managers to ensure that they support the company’s values in managing their work groups and teams.

Lead the HR function by establishing an HR plan on an annual basis and contribute to development of the HR strategy for the organization.Proactively design, develop, recommend and implement new HR policies and plans in conjunction with strategic business objectives.Manage staffing activities to include sourcing, pre-screening, scheduling, interviewing and recommending applicants for hire, as well as salary administration. Maintain frequent interaction with all levels of staff, from hourly employees to executive senior management and the HRIS / benefits / payroll teams.Liaise with various levels of the organization to provide and coordinate regional employee communications to ensure compliance with organizational policy, procedures and legal requirements.Minimize the business exposure to litigation while maintaining a current knowledge of new law and regulation in the field and ensure the HR team is fully competent in this area.Support managers and directors in the personal development planning process to ensure development plans are in place for all direct reports and that regular reviews of performance are undertaken across the region.Oversee performance appraisal, compensation and succession planning processes with client groups.
