As Controller at BML-Blackbird I am in charge of closely monitoring the company’s financial health, maintaining, managing, and analyzing financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and anything else that affects the company's bottom line. I strive to maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk and recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.I coordinate the annual budget and forecasts and report significant budget differences to management with provided financial analysis and an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations. I work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit and equally importantly aim to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.As President and Accountant at Thirteen Accounting LLC I prepare all personal and business income taxes and financial statements for our clients, reconcile bank balances and record general ledger entries, record and pay clients' business taxes, input client payroll information, print out checks, and execute all accounting functions necessary.
