I am a third-year BA Geography student at the University of Southampton, currently on track for a First. My studies cover both human and physical geography, with a focus on environmental sustainability, transport systems, and supply chains and logistics. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and have hands-on experience with ArcGIS and other data analysis tools, which I have applied in various coursework and projects.My passion for geography and sustainability has been enriched by my solo travels, including a recent trip to New Zealand in 2024. Exploring diverse geographical landscapes and immersing myself in local cultures has deepened my understanding and appreciation of this field. I look forward to integrating these experiences into my third-year module selections, such as The Professional Geography and Global Sustainability Chalenges, while leveraging my skills in adaptability, communication, and time management.With over five years of work experience at Waitrose & Partners and John Lewis & Partners, I have developed strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills within different areas of the business. My role as a key worker during the COVID-19 pandemic further honed these abilities, and have remained dedicated, motivated and reliable throughout my time here. At university, I served as Vice-President of the Geography Society for 2023/2024 and actively participate in various societies, including tennis. As a Student Ambassador for Geography, I engage with prospective students and share my enthusiasm for the course.My love for the outdoors is reflected in my participation in Ten Tors as a lead navigator in 2017 and 2018, where I demonstrated leadership and time management under pressure. This was further complemented by completing my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards and gaining volunteering experience at Exeter Library and parkrun.I am actively seeking work experience and graduate schemes in areas related to my interests. My NEA coursework at Exeter College, where I achieved an A in 2021, focused on Electric Vehicle charging point accessibility in Exeter. I am currently planning my Undergraduate Dissertation on sustainability in transport.
