Joseph Pierce Farrell, MDiv, DTh, FAACSSDr. Farrell is an internationally recognized research scientist, educator, and best-selling author. As a scientist, he is the Director of the Institute for Spirituality and Healthcare Princeton, NJ., where he leads an interdisciplinary team of scientists conducting pioneering research in the efficacy of Spiritually-Based Interventions and Practices to deliver tangible health benefits. He is the recipient of multiple grants from Fortune 50 medical and pharmaceutical companies interested in evidence-based research to explore the benefits of augmenting modern medical care with Spiritual Care. Dr. Farrell is the recipient of multiple awards including the Global Health Institute’s Courage in Integrative Medicine Award (CIIMA), and the Pioneers in Integrative Medicine Award, Palm Beach. He has received multiple appointments including the endowed Ambassador’s Chair in Consciousness Studies at the Global Health Institute; Chairman of the Institute for Spirituality and Healthcare, Princeton; President, Health Chaplaincy; and appointed as Special Advisor to the Committee on Spirituality Values and Global Concerns at the United Nations. As an educator, he is the distinguished professor of Applied Theology at Disciples Seminary Princeton.   As Director of the Institute, Farrell is leading an interdisciplinary team of scientists, physicians, and chaplains engaged in conducting evidence-based research to explore the efficacy of Spiritually-Based Interventions (SBIs) and Practices to deliver Rapid Healing, Rehabilitation, and Anti-Aging health benefits. Based on preliminary case studies, Dr. Farrell has received multiple grants from major medical and pharmaceutical corporations. The Institute has documented, through rigorous scientific research, the efficacy of advanced Spiritually-Based Practices and Interventions to achieve benevolent health effects in both hard and soft tissue. The results of these landmark case studies at the Institute provide a compelling body of evidence suggesting that mind-body-spirit practices and interventions are more efficacious in achieving benevolent health effects than previously believed. Further research is required. The Institute is currently beginning its next phase of research, and documenting Rapid Wound Healing and Non-Invasive Aesthetic Improvements in real time.
