Led state legislative issues for our more than 8,000 members in an extremely volatile and tempestuous environment. Represented members before county and municipal bodies of government of all population sizes, both large and small. Negotiated fair and progressive contracts for more than 50 counties and municipalities amidst previously negative perceptions and within tough, recently initiated state laws and regulation. Reported and advised our board of directors every quarter.

Fundraised for city council races from diverse revenue streams. Reached out to the community by expanding the network exponentially. Capitalized on the success with each relationship by adding value to each entity, consequently being recommended to additional business partnering.Organized members by creating member outreach programs, implementing and executing. Went shop to shop and expressed the importance of the cause and transformed talk into commitment. Empowered members in leadership and to become leaders by providing them with all the resources available and putting them in positions to succeed.Worked extremely hard in grassroots efforts to save a state development center from legislatively led closing. Led the charge in provoking the members to action. Got the community and local businesses involved through awareness and inclusion.

Built a volunteer base from the ground up. Created community buy in with organizations and businesses. Coordinated with several different campaigns to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Created walk and call packets, acquired staging locations and generated earned media events. Additionally, reached out to the local colleges and created an Alex Sink for Governor fellowship program. Managed a team of over 60 volunteers every week in an historically difficult turf that turned out numbers that were nationally recognized.

Coordinated with constituency groups across the state to raise funds. Created call lists for both cold calls and previous donors of such causes. Member of a record setting fundraising team. Managed preexisting relationships and built new ones through creative strategies and smart research. Oversaw fundraising events from their inception to completion. This process included planning, projecting, acquiring staging locations, bundling and reporting.

Formulated budgets for state agencies. Determined the needs of these agencies through research, collaboration with agency heads and on site visits. Advised committee directors and legislative leadership on my recommendations. Coordinated with the Florida House of Representatives' and Governor's budget entities to come to negotiated agreements in a very tough economic time for both the state and the nation.

Fielded requests from the 40 different Senators' offices and allocated the human and material resources necessary to fulfill them. Coordinated with Senate staff to accomplish directed tasks. Managed relationships as an ambassador for the Sergeant's Office.
