As a Junior at majoring in Intelligent Systems Engineering with a concentration in Computer Engineering, I have already proven to have strong academics through my multiple scholarships accounting for a full ride at Indiana University and a GPA of 3.81/4.00. My coursework has equipped me with skills in software development in languages like Python, C, and Verilog; strong math skills in calculus, physics, linear algebra; leadership experience in student-led robotics competitions; and soft skills in critical thinking, adaptability, communication, teamwork, conflict management, and communication through my roles as a resident assistant, project team leader, and undergraduate researcher.During my time in a researching role at IU for a project funded through the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center, I played a pivotal role in performing software and hardware testing using the hardware description language Verilog to verify the functionality of a new state-of-the-art radiation-hardened FPGA.I have also participated in other research opportunities in which I researched graph theory to embed large dimensional graphs into smaller spaces in a more computationally efficient manner and have even researched the computational basis of cognition in ChatGPT's predecessor, GPT-3, to investigate the capabilities of artificial intelligences to mimic human reason.Outside of my academic pursuits, I have actively engaged in community involvement and leadership roles. As a Resident Assistant, I manage over 1000 college students, fostering a healthy living environment at Eigenmann Hall through conflict resolution strategies, event coordination, and resident activity monitoring. I have also taken the up the role as a team leader for IU's Defend the Republic Robotics team by guiding the development and implementation of autonomous computer vision algorithms for an autonomous airborne vehicle tasked with capturing and scoring floating balloons into airborne goals for DTR's national competition.My passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence coupled with my strong academic foundation and interpersonal skills has uniquely positioned me to make meaningful contributions in fields such as information technology, data analysis, and computing.
