The UK is at the forefront of global GHG reduction and has legally mandated meeting NetZero carbon emissions by 2050. Recent extreme weather events have only accentuated the focus on reducing carbon emissions.Numerous studies have identified that building emissions, largely addressable through retrofitting, contribute a significant, 28% share of the total UK’s GHG making this category a top priority within the overall objective of NetZero emissions. Driven largely by energy consumption, making housing stocks more energy-efficient through “green” solutions (e.g. replacing oil boilers with heat pumps, insulation, double glazed window installation, etc.) can have a significant positive impact on emission reductions reducing heating demands by upwards of 65%.The NetZed portal is central to a broader ecosystem that includes bringing together financial institutions, councils & associations, service providers and plays host to underwriting processes, requisition and payments and loan administration.

Serving as a Visiting Critic for the Postgraduate MArch Architecture programme for Unit 15 and for the Undergraduate BA Hons Architecture programme for Unit 3. I organised and co-led a walking tour of Hackney Wick for Unit 3 with a follow-up day of presentations at the offices of BUJ Architects.

As a hands-on Creative Director at BUJ Architects I am primarily carrying the role of managing the creative output and brand identity of the practice. Being Head of Creative my responsibilities include overseeing and conducting research and analysis of Architectural and broader design markets to support the employment of emerging digital methods in forms of output and advertising from the practice.To date the role has involved the development of the BUJ brand through improvements to all facets of visual identity supported by the consistent creation of compelling content. By supplying creative design guidance and filling an active production role I am responsible for instilling a clear art direction, which is evident in the practice's collective delivery of a distinct aesthetic & style.The role additionally expands to the planning, development, delivery and management of campaign work across several social platforms. This involves utilising skills particularly in html coding, graphic design and motion graphics.BUJ is investing in and expanding their in-house creative team, demonstrating a dedication to the development of their brand identity and expanding range of output methodologies for research, experimentation and advertisement.

I undertook a period of summer employment at Norton Ellis Architects to assist the production of a full tender package and detailed planning application for two ongoing projects at the practice. Encompassing small scale commercial and large scale residential design, the projects allowed me to develop my understanding of detailed design and construction methods.

As the President of the NUAS I was responsible for the organisation of numerous events ranging from a weekly lecture series to an end of year social ball for 150 people.
