My paternal Grandmother was a great storyteller, and I soaked it all in. She instilled me with the passion that made it possible for me to start researching my family over twenty-five years ago. Something I have tried to hone with my choices in education. I am incredibly detailed in the work I do, ensuring that the information is located and answers the research question.The United States Army gave me the chance to grow and learn, not only as an M1A1 Tank Crewmember but also as a soldier. My Platoon Sergeant tasked me with teaching a class on Armored Fighting Vehicle Identification (AFVID) and Basic First Aid, which taught me the power of researching and learning for myself to make me a better instructor. My last year in the Army saw me working as the Orderly Room NCO (non-commissioned officer). My First Sargeant allowed me to lead two soldiers in our daily duties for the Commander and himself. We, as a team, would ensure that all paperwork was correctly filled out and filed and communicate with other S-shops.If I am not doing Genealogy research, I spend time with my wife of twenty-five-plus years and our family.
