I am a relationship manager in BMO's US Special Accounts Management Unit (US SAMU). I am tasked with managing higher risk loans, with a focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans. Goal is to successfully repatriate loans back to the originating line of business, or, where appropriate, maximize the economic return for BMO.

Responsible for the origination and maintenance of a commercial real estate loan portfolio that includes construction and term loans secured by commercial real estate. Property types include: Income producing office, retail, industrial, multi-family, and hospitality. Duties and responsibilities included the following: - Calling on existing clients and new prospects for business origination; - Assist in underwriting and financial analysis of new transactions, including preparation of new deal memo and loan term sheets; - Manage loan closings, negotiate loan terms and structure with clients, review loan documents, review all third party reports and other loan closing due diligence items; - Monitor existing portfolio in conjunction with portfolio management staff, identify negative trends and/or material weaknesses and elevate to credit

Responsible for credit analysis of new and existing loan transactions, including: The gathering and analysis of financial statements, rent rolls, market information, and other relevant data, reviewing real estate appraisals and other reports, and reviewing leases and purchase agreements. Acted as "secondary loan officer" on several larger clients, where I acted as the lead underwriter and financial analyst for these clients, along with assisting the senior loan officer in the management of the client relationships.
