Contribute to the profitable development and marketing of Master Chemical’s metalworking cleaner line and metalworking rust inhibitors of products by providing application expertise and other technical support to sales, technical service, and R&D. The focus is on fluid management technology and up/down stream compatibility to meet total customer requirements.Perform routine laboratory testing on customers’ cleaners and competitive samples. Perform special testing on samples as directed by the Technical Service Manager or Global VP-R&D. Provide written reports based on the findings of testing performed.Assume responsibility for conducting research, developing new products, improving existing products, and conducting field evaluations on new products. Recommend new raw materials, equipment, and manufacturing procedures. Provide technical and supervisory support within the laboratory and other MCC departments as required. Help coordinate research and development activities with marketing, manufacturing, laboratory, and health and safety departments. Guide QC and production in dealing with unusual problems related to nonconforming production batches and borderline incoming raw materials, as well as day-to-day production problems. Provide technical assistance in utilizing and/or disposing of old supplies of raw materials and finished goods.Perform routine maintenance on cleaner laboratory equipment.
