Joe has more than 30 years of executive level information technology experience and is an expert on the technical and legal aspects of eDiscovery.Joe began his career in the IT industry with Wang Laboratories. In 1978 he became West Coast Director of their Legal Solutions Group which provided software and consulting for Wang’s VS based imaging for litigation management. Joe was one of the first to link scanned images to databases working with Wang’s first foray into the Imaging marketplace. He also attended law school part-time during this period.For the last twelve years, litigation automation has been the center of Joe's practice. Today, as CEO at ILS, he leads an e-Discovery consulting team in providing specialized support to class action and MDL plaintiffs’ lead counsel. With this tight focus, Joe’s consulting team has gained a deep appreciation for the challenges and goals that are shared by clients as they do battle with Goliath-like opponents. Joe’s technology driven practice is at the forefront of automated issue coding, predictive coding as well as foreign language document analytics and computerized translation. Experienced in mass torts, securities, ERISA, antitrust, wage and hour, employment discrimination, environmental and other types of class action/MDL cases, the Company's approach puts its Plaintiffs Counsel clients on solid footing for a meticulous document review quickly and at a fraction of the cost. In addition to the Company's primary areas of focus, Joe also directs ILS pro bono support for the ABA Death Penalty Representation Project.Joe holds a BA from San Diego State University and a JD from Western State University.
