Despite facing challenges, I strive to capitalize on opportunities and build connections with others. I am driven to pursue my academic and professional goals while continuously enhancing my skillset.MY GOALSI always begin with the end in mind, and since coming to Miami, my main objective has been to complete the 3 + 1 Master of Economics program. This program allows students to attain a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics in four years. Students usually earn their bachelor’s degree at the end of their junior year and begin the master’s program at the beginning of senior year. Attaining my master’s degree will allow me to reach my career goals of securing a desirable job in the economics or business field.WHY I PURSUE BUSINESS STUDIESTaking an economics class in high school was initially challenging for me because it forced me to think in an entirely new way, but overcoming those challenges is what gave me the love I have for the subject. Recognizing certain patterns in data and evaluating potential solutions has made the subject exceptionally absorbing to me. This tie to critical thinking and problem-solving is what fuels my passion for economics and business studies.MY QUALIFICATIONSI am always working to improve my business-related skills both in and out of the classroom. In my classes, I completed a client challenge with four teammates, working to find ways to increase Terrasmart’s profits. This improved my hard skills such as being proficient in analyzing data in SQL along with improving my communication and team-building skills. Outside of the classroom, I am a member of multiple organizations. Phi Gamma Nu and Miami Business Consulting have allowed me to better myself through their professional development programs.
