One of my favorite jobs growing up was working at a youth summer camp in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. My coworkers and campers would call me, a “camp Rockstar”! I was the energizer bunny and the “hype guy”. Throughout my experience there, I developed a skill for working, communicating, and leading people. I learned from many mentors that as a great leader, you must not be afraid to communicate and you must not be afraid of being yourself. I learned how great leaders are those who can brighten a room by the way they carry themselves. With the skills that I had learned and the experience I was given, I decided that my next move would be to become a teacher. After graduating college, I became a middle school math teacher. As a teacher, I am well-versed in planning and development. I’m always creating lessons and adjusting them based on the different personalities and learning styles of my students. As a teacher, I’m constantly practicing collecting and analyzing data. To better teach my students. I have to understand where they are and how much they know. Finally, I have to practice relationship management. As a teacher, I work with people daily and am constantly working on maintaining those relationships. Whether working with my students, working with my coworkers, or building rapport with parents, I am a relational person. I believed that based on my skills, and personality, teaching would be my dream job. After five very successful years of teaching, II am ready for new challenges where I can thrive, impart wisdom and be a leader. This desire is what led me to Business Development. Before becoming a teacher, I had always thought that m passion would be teaching, but instead, I’ve realized that my passion is working with a team, creating relationships, and solving problems together. I will forever be a teacher inside. I thrive by working and mentoring others and sharing the knowledge I am giving. I decided to transition to becoming a business development representative because based on my skills and research, I have many transferable skills that I can use from my teaching experience to aid success in a company. I hope to use my teaching skills to further my career as a business development representative and create long-term relationships. So let’s connect.
