1776 is an incubator and venture capital fund that works with high-growth, early stage startups tackling today's major challenges in the education, energy, health care, and government industries. The Challenge Cup is a global competition, spanning 16 cities across 6 continents (sorry, Antarctica), that connects the most promising startups to the resources they need to grow. As the Challenge Cup intern, I created the internal application process to manage over 900 applications from a live form through review, primarily using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. I also performed initial review and post-event feedback, gaining exposure to over 900 startups from around the world.

LinkedIn is the world's largest online professional network, with over 300 million members. At LinkedIn, I worked within the Marketing Solutions vertical for their programmatic advertising team. During my time as an Ad Ops intern, I worked closely with the nascent programmatic team to create the structure for an automated ticketing system, revamp the internal wiki, and assemble a one-sheeter to educate sales executives on the new offerings.After improving my backhand, I was also named the (un)disputed intern ping-pong champion.

Education Week is a nationally circulated newspaper and website focusing on K-12 education policy and practice. In my role as a Business Analyst, I researched new product development for the digital arm of Education Week. This included looking into gamification and matching algorithms for Education Week’s job board. I also tracked and projected market trends in education based on analysis of competitive and economic news while prioritizing multiple internal tasks--including budget templating for the 2014 fiscal year.

The Georgetown University Student Investment Fund (GUSIF) manages over $800,000 on behalf of the Georgetown University Endowment and the Alumni Association. I worked within the Real Estate sector analyzing investment opportunities and presenting potential investment implications both within the sector and to the larger group of 60 fund members. This involved monitoring REIT markets on a daily basis and presenting weekly updates on the sector’s holdings.
