Bettair is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) that permits, for the first time, to really map air pollution in cities on a previously unimaginable scale based on a large deployment of outstandingly accurate gas sensors by using an advanced post-processing algorithm. This information allows applying appropriate urban plans for enhancing air quality and to make smart and better decisions to mitigate air pollution. Bettair is a network of autonomous devices that are installed in streetlights (or in city furniture) in a dense matrix distanced between 0.5÷1 km allowing a highly spatial and temporal resolution. The nodes are incorporating up to 6 electrochemical sensors to measure gases, an Optical Particle Counter to measure PMs, noise pollution and other ambient quality indicators . A complete front and back-end solution is provided to municipalities and an APP for the citizens. The technology has been deployed in Europe, LATAM, in North America and other worldwide regions.

Ateknea Solutions in Catalonia with around 70 employees (most of them are technical staff) has extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in electronics, biosensors, mechatronics, telecommunications and Information Technologies (including Artificial Intelligence and computer vision). Most of these services are articulated by means of European projects. Actually, we are the European SME with more participation in European projects. We belong to the European group Ateknea Solutions with a total of 140 employees and facilities in Spain, Hungary, Poland, Malta, Belgium, and Portugal.

Responsible for all the Ateknea Solutions companies at a group level of all the Business Lines including ICT Challenges, Healthcare & Wellbeing, Industry & Manufacturing, Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security, and Energy Efficiency & Environment. A specific sales strategies was defined for each of the Business Lines of the Group and one responsible for each Business Line was appointed. A new commercial team was built up and managed with Business Line Managers and Innovations Managers.

In charge of the Information Technologies and Telecommunications (ITT) Department, supervising 20 team members and coordinating a series of projects in the department.
